Avoca Man Fatally Hurt as Car Rolls. . . Vietnam Vet

Weeping Water: A young Avoca man was killed early Wednesday morning in a one-car accident about one and one-half miles south of the Weeping Water spur on Nebraska HWY #50.
The victim was identified as Kenneth E. Brinkhoff, 22. The Cass County Sheriff's office said Brinkhoff's a recently returned Vietnam Veteran, apparently fell asleep at the wheel of the car. The Southbound vehicle struck a roadway leading to the highway, went into a field, flipped over and caught fire.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Avoca.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Brinkhoff, Avoca: brothers, Darrel of Avoca and Keith of Lincoln; and sisters, Mrs. Bennie(Beverly)DeFreece of Lincoln and Mrs. Gerald(Donna Jean) Waller of Avoca.
