PENDLETON — Mable Robinson Lacey, 98, of Pendleton died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.
Mrs. Lacey was born May 16, 1912, near Geddes, S.D., to Braymen and Mary (Stevick) Robinson. She grew up on farms and attended county schools.
In 1928 she married Paul Lynn Lacey. They and their son moved to Oregon in 1937. She lived in several communities in Oregon and Washington before settling in Pendleton in 1976. Paul died in 1987. Her second husband, Cecil Mitchum, died in 1993.
She was a homemaker most of her life, and later on worked as a volunteer for many organizations, most recently with CAPECO.
Mrs. Lacey is survived by son Derald Lacey of Fossil; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Kathleen Besinover July 5, 2010.
