BENJAMIN DEARDORFF, 82, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home 38 Philadelphia Avenue. He had in failing health for years and critically ill since the first of year.
He was born at Five Forks son of the late Samuel and Sarah (Huber) Deardorff.
Mr. Deardorff was a machinist by trade having worked at Geiser's and Frick Company; also at the Wolf Refrigerator Manufacturers both York and Harrisburg. He has been retired since 1937.
He was a member of Trinity Reformed church. He was also a member of Lodge No. 219, I.O.O.F. and the Knights of the Golden Eagle.
Mr. Deardorff is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alice Carbaugh, Greencastle and four nieces and three nephews.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p .m. from the Poe Funeral Home with the Rev. George H. Bricker officiating. Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
