Dwight H. Rickman, 46, Joplin Mo died unexpectedly at 6:30 O'clock Sunday morning January 15, 1967 at St. John Hospital Joplin Mo where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He was apparently getting along all right before death occured.
He was born November 24, 1920 at Strawn, KS the son of Mr & Mrs Frank Rickman
Dwight retired from Equitable Assurance Society where he had worked for 18 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. A member of the South Joplin Christian Church, Elks Lodge, VFW, Joplin Exchange Club, Concordia Masonic Lodge and Scout Master of Troop 3 Joplin. He had received the Golden Son Award in Scouting and had been active 12 years in the past council commission of Mo-Kan Area.
He is survived by his wife Betty Gray Rickman of the home; three sons Dwight G who is attending KU, Douglas and Mark of the home: his mother, Mrs Frank Rickman Burlington, KS three brothers, Oliver, Turner Ore, Roe, Klamath Falls, Ore, and Don, of Waverly; four sisters, Mrs Jo Arnold, Carson City Nev., Mrs Bernice Jackson, Weed, CA; Mrs Dorothy Allen Lebanon Ore, and Mrs Mary Jane Heckert, Papillion Nebr.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday Morning at the South Joplin Christian Church he will lie in state at the Damron Chapel, Joplin
