A large crowd of friends and relatives attended funeral services yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Free Methodist Church for Edward Humerickhouse, mail carrier on Ottawa route 6 who died at Community hospital, Friday, following a six weeks illness. Mr Humerickhouse would have been 65 years of age, May 19. He had been a mail carrier out of Ottawa for nearly 27 years and was eligible for retirement from the postal service with pension. Services were conducted by Rev. J.L. Philippi of Smith Center assisted by Rev. F.M. Smith of Ottawa Free Methodist Church Rev. E.H. Cook, Weslyan Methodist and Rev C.B. Archer Lawrence District elder of the Free Methodist Church. "Lead Kindly Light" "No Disappointment" and "Going Down the Valley" were sung by Mrs F.M. Smith, Mrs O.A. Autenrieth, Mrs E.H. Cook, Mrs Grace Weeks, W.H. Horrell and J.O. Beeson during the service at the church and "Eastern Gates" was sung at the grave service. Internment was in Highland cemetery. Out of town relatives present for the services were: Rev & Mrs W.T.Pyles of Baldwin, Mr & Mrs O.L. Humerickhouse, Mr & Mrs I.R. Keagy, Mr & Mrs Ben Nelson and Mr & Mrs D.A. Seneff of Centropolis: Mrs Ellen Cain and daughter Helen and son Gerald and Mr & Mrs William Cain Pomona, Mr & Mrs J.T. McDonald of Great Bend and Mrs Lizzie Vaughn of Kansas City
