The second of three children, all daughters, born to Carl Arthur and Jessie (Chorum) Dougall of Los Angeles Co CA, Lorraine married Ollie "Buck" Mason Board in 1940 in Los Angeles Co CA. They had four children, two daughters and two sons.
Lorraine was only 50 yrs old when she was diagnosed with cancer. I remember the day she told me the doctor's diagnosis; she was gone a short three months later.
Lorraine was such a loving and generous person; a wonderful wife, mother and doting grandmother. She was more like my mother than a mother-in-law. Before the chemotherapy, she had beautiful long black hair. She had a cute pug nose and bright blue eyes.
We were desert goers and had such fun times; like once sharing a bottle of Boones Wine. Those trips were never the same after her death. Lorraine was very much her own person; she loved her black El Camino, especially the sound of the racy engine. You could always hear her coming up the street. Lorraine also had a softer side, adoring her grandchildren and making her home warm and inviting. I recall she taught me how to make pie crust.
To this day, we miss her so very much and feel so blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace Mom and God Bless you always.
Always thinking of you.
