Dewey Allen Revette, 48, a native of Waynesboro and a resident of State Line, MS died Tuesday, April 20, 2010. He was employed as a Driller on the Horizon Deepwater Rig for Transocean Drilling Company
A memorial service for Dewey Revette, who is still missing and presumed dead after last week's explosion of an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in State Line.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl "Sherri" Revette of State Line; his mother, Katherine Revette of State Line; two daughters and a son-in-law, Andrea and Chase Cochran and Alicia Revette, all of State Line; a brother, Kenneth Revette of State Line; and a sister, Ann Byrd of State Line.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Dewey Revettte, Jr.
Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
