Funeral service for Gladys Lucille Jensen, 97, of Manitou, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Peevyhouse, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, and the Rev. Vernon Floyd, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

She died Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home in Frederick.

She was born Nov. 12, 1908, in Frederick to William Pate and Nettie Lorena (Hodges) Dean. She graduated from Frederick High School in 1927. She married Andrew Christian Jensen Sr. on Jan. 9, 1932, in Frederick. They lived in Cookietown until 1942, at which time they moved to Manitou. She was involved in their family farming and ranching operation and custom harvesting for 31 years. She was a homemaker. She was longtime member of First Baptist Church in Manitou where she taught Sunday School and later at Bible Baptist Church in Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband A.C. Jensen Sr. on Jan. 9, 2001; three sisters, Clara Dillingham, Ruby Eckhart and Vera Alexander; and one brother, Lawrence Dean.

She is survived by two sons, A.C. Jensen Jr. and wife Susie, and Frank Jensen and wife Kathy, all of Manitou; two daughters, Helen Hazel and husband Lowell of Frederick, and Christine Szatkowski and husband Smokey of Lawton; an adopted son, Clarence Zitterkob of Tulsa; two sisters, Mabel James and Margaret Haight, both of Ardmore; sister-in-law, Willie Faye Jensen of Manitou; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick Memorial Cemetery Beautification Fund, 111 N. 11th, Frederick, OK 73542.
