Served in the 137th PA Inf....may have reenlisted in another Regmt....he was killed at the "Battle of the Crater" in the aftermath of the Mine Explosion under the Petersburg Earthworks....his body was never identified. In a letter from the Army dated 1871 stated all unidentified remains from the area were buried in Poplar Grove Cemetery!?
