SHERRY EASLEY, age 58 of Manvel, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Laurel Court Nursing Facility, Alvin, Texas. Sherry was born on May 28, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas and was a resident of Manvel for 24 years. She was a teacher employed by Santa Fe Independent School District.

Sherry was an active member of Heights Baptist Church where she taught adult Bible study classes, led children in Vacation Bible Schools and choirs, and had a passion for anything related with music. She played the guitar and piano, and sang in the adult choir as well as in other special groups within the church.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Tressie Garner.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Pastor Charles Easley, daughters, Tanya Foley and husband, Brendan, Rhonda Ellis and husband, Rich, Melissa Wyatt and husband, Eric, father, James Garner, sister, Janice Culpepper and her husband, Charles, brothers, Larry Garner and his wife, Jackie, Wayne Garner and his wife, Jerri, 8 grandchildren, Luke, Gavin, Samuel, Madison, Karis, Carson, Clayton and Bryson, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Heights Baptist Church, County Road 144 at County Road 145 Alvin, Texas with Pastor Randy Cox and Pastor Charles Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow at City of Alvin Oak Park Cemetery, Alvin, Texas. In lieu of sending flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Heights Baptist Church Worship Ministry in Alvin, TX.
