Leonora Cornelia CARMICHAEL, wife of Joseph CARMICHAEL, was born August 9, 1864 and died at her home near Hobbieville February 4, 1908. She was forty-three years, five months and twenty-seven days old and was the daughter of Joel Bandton and Mary A. (Lamb) SEXON {SEXSON/SEXTON}.She was the mother of two sons and two daughters, but one daughter preceded her in death several years ago. The children, Austin, Lottie and Bantan, together with the father, survive to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother. Besides her own family she leaves one granddaughter, a fond mother, two brothers, and a host of relatives and friends. At the age of twenty years she profess faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church at Hebron, where her member ship remained until her death. She was a daily reader of the word of God and was continually pointing the way to the higher life for the good of her family. She was always kind to everybody and to know her was to love her.
