Mrs. Horace Wilbur
Mrs. Horace Wilbur, 82, of 608 Center St., died Wednesday morning at her home here. She and her husband had been married 65 years.
The former Alta Lathrop, she was born in Tama County, Iowa, and moved with her parents to the Town of Wilson when she was a young girl. After her marriage in 1899, she and her husband farmed near Stanley until they retired and moved to Eau Claire.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wilbur is survived by two sons, Loyal, Milwaukee, and Merle, Montana; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Shields, Montana, Mrs. Lester Cooley, Eau Claire, Mrs. Ethel Jones and Mrs. Nell Webster, both of Williston N.D.; 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel in Stanley, the pastor of the Church of Christ of Stanley officiating. Burial will be in the Edson Cemetery.
Friends may begin calling at the funeral chapel Saturday afternoon.
