STEVENS Mattie Lane Collins
100, widow of John Stevens, died Tue, Oct 25, 2011 at her residence. Born in Frankfort, she was a daughter of the late Neville and Emma Collins. She was the retired owner and operator of Stevens Cut Rate Market and PDQ Market. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Joanne (Arthur) McClanahan, Jr. and Betty (Tom) Tackett, both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Karl McClanahan, Lexington, Steve Tackett, Lexington, John Tackett, IN, and Cynthia Tackett, Lexington; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Abbye, Alexandria and Westray; and one great-great-grandson, Thomas Bronson Tackett. Funeral services will be 2pm Fri at Grace Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2pm Fri at the church.
