Bernice Cagle Johnson, 99, died August 5, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Johnson, and son David Johnson. She is survived by children Janice (Kenneth) Randolph, John (Hazel) Johnson, Marilyn (Frank) Terry, Richard (Judy) Johnson, and Linda Johnson, widow of David. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great- grandson. Her life as wife, mother, and grandmother was spent serving and caring for her family and many others who enjoyed her hospitality. Her husband and others founded Faulkner University of Montgomery where she served with him as part of its first faculty. She supported him in his work as a college professor at Christian Universities in Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee, and as he ministered to many congregations here and abroad. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Leak-Memory Chapel followed by a service at 2:00 PM.
