Rodger W. Kriefall
AITKIN - Rodger Wesley Kriefall was born on March 18, 1939, in Minneapolis, the son of Raymond and Ellen (Hulbert) Kriefall. He was called from this life Monday evening, Feb. 27, 2006, at his home near Aitkin. He was 66.

Rodger graduated from Osseo High School and shortly thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Navy on Feb. 13, 1957. He served several years at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and retired from active duty on Feb. 18, 1960. On Nov. 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Lois Engren. He was involved in sales throughout his career, working in several fields. He retired in 1993 and they moved to Aitkin in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and playing softball with the "Ageless Wonders." He liked bowling and sponsored a team. Delivering "Meals on Wheels" and working with Habitat for Humanity also were things he enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ellen; and a great-grandson, Devin, in 1999. Rodger is mourned in passing by Lois, his wife of 43 years; children, Jeanne Martineau, of Coon Rapids, Kathryn (Jerome) Dehn, of Big Lake, Diane (Patrick) Guerin, of Sterling, N.Y., Donna Kelly, of Rice Lake, Wis., Gregory Kriefall, of Aitkin, Charles (Kelly) Kriefall, of Blaine, Kimberly Junes, of Lacey, Wash., and Stacey (Bryan) Greer, of Northfield; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Wiley, of Bloomington, and Dorothy Herrick, of Buffalo; and a brother, Donald Kriefall, of Florida.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Crosslake Evangelical Free Church in Crosslake. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake and for one hour prior to services at church on Friday. Military honors will be provided by the Crosslake American Legion Post No. 500. Interment will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stanford Cemetery near Isanti. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
