Lafayette JournPatricia A. "Pat" Poole Miller, 76, of Lafayette, died at 4:33 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her home.

Born Nov. 28, 1934, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Thelma Irene Clampitt Poole. She was raised in Greencastle by her aunt, Peg.

She married Doyle Lee Reeder on June 27, 1954, in Boone County, and he died 1957. She married Robert Miller in 1960 in Frankfort, and he died April 11, 1998.

Mrs. Miller worked for Donaldson's in Frankfort for 12 years. She previously worked for General Foods in Lafayette and at Mr. Steve's as an assistant manager.

She was a former member of Hope United Methodist Church in Frankfort and a member of Women of the Moose in Frankfort. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes for abused children in Tippecanoe County and quilts for family, making dolls, woodworking and vegetable and flower gardening.

Surviving are three sons, Ora Reeder (wife: Cindy) and Mike A. Reeder (wife: Pam), both of Frankfort, and Robert F. Miller Jr. (wife: Belinda) of rural Frankfort; two daughters, Terri Miller and Tammy Mecklenburg (husband: Dave), both of Lafayette; a sister Marjorie of Kentucky; and a brother, Bill Poole of Rockville.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Jada Ray (husband: Chad), Becky Reeder (fiancé: Justin Brewer), Sam Swigert, Justin Shirar (wife: Amber) Brandon Reeder, A. J. Dalury, Stacey Rose (husband: Andy), Stephanie Miller (fiancé: Dave Damrow), Jessica Mecklenburg, Megan Mecklenburg, and Erin Mecklenburg; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Benji. Preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and half-brothers and -sisters.

Visitation 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Father Eric Underwood officiating. Burial to follow at Spencer Cemetery in Sheridan.
