The 1880 census lists Noah as single, coal miner, living in Carroll Township with mother Candice. The 1900 census lists Noah as married to Ellen for one year, living in Fayette City, working as a policeman.
Noah was the son of Benjamin and Candice Behanna.
An unsubstantiated old Behanna pedigree states that Noah was "charged with murdering John Carroll."
