Roy C Fowler was born March 21, 1915, in Oklahoma, to Lee and Bell (Testament) Fowler. He grew up in Oklahoma. Roy enlisted in the U.S. Army December 23, 1942, and was released December 29, 1945. He served during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
On April 5, 1952, he married Mabel Grace Davis, in Magnum, Oklahoma. Roy and Mabel moved to Kokomo, Colorado later that year where they resided for 9 years. In that time, Roy served as town mayor while working for Climax as an electrician. The Fowlers moved to Buena Vista, where they lived for almost 30 years.
Roy was a beloved father and grandfather, and he is greatly missed by many. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America and was a loved neighbor to all that knew him.
Roy was active in the VFW and American Legion.
He was survived by his two sons and two stepsons and a stepdaughter. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister. Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mabel, two brothers, and five sisters. (bio contributed by Adam Franks (#48366479)
