Died as a Confederate Prisoner of War at Camp Morton, originally interred at Green Lawn Cemetery (Confederate Section), but reinterred in 1933 in a mass grave of 1616 Confederate POW'S at Crown Hill.
He was born around 1833 son to Zenon Langlois and Aspasie Pourciau in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. Before the war Langlois married Elizabeth Emma Pourciau April 15, 1856 in Pointe Coupee Parish. During the Civil War he served in Co. A of the Pointe Coupee Artillery and was captured during the fighting at Champion Hill on May 16, 1863. He eventually arrived at the prisoner of war prison facility at Camp Morton, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana where he died in the hospital there on July 4, 1863 of pneumonia.
