Dorothy Dzwonczyk, 89, of Peckville, Pennsylvania, died Friday at the Golden Living Center. She was the wife of John Dzwonczyk, who died Oct. 27, 1996. She was born in Peckville, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Hricko Zalutko. She was an active member of St. John's Russian Orthodox Church in Mayfield, Pennsylvania and All Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and attended Lackawanna Business School. She was an active member of the Lakeland School District PTA and was a troop leader in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America at St. John's Russian Orthodox Church. Before retirement, she worked for the Foote Insurance Agency in Archbald, Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark; and two sisters, Mildred Olp and Ruth Scalsky. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in All Saints Russian Orthodox Church. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville, Pennsylvania.
