Margaret worked for a potery factory located on 220th St. Torrance, as well did Ray Dobbins, there they met. Ray and Margaret would soon marry. But the War would soon separate them. Ray left for Europe, and Margret returned home to Cavalier, pregnant with with there first child. There son was born in 1943 in North Dakota There he and Margaret lived with her parents and brothers and sisters while Ray was overseas. There son was 3 years old when he and his father met for the first time.
After Ray's return from overseas, he was re- stationed in Louisiana, which Margaret and son soon followed. There they lived near the base.
With Ray's discharge from the service soon nearing, they decided to move back to California. The three of them left Louisiana, California bound. They arrived at Ray's parents home in Torrance, and bought a small trailer and placed it on the property, there they lived for several years. In 1950 they purchased a lovely 2 bedroom 1 bath home located at 1524 W. 215th St. Torrance. Soon an addition to the family would arrive. There daughter was born in 1950. Ray and Margaret lived many happy years (37), in this home until Ray death on March 9, 1975. Margaret continued to live there until her death in November 20, 1987
(Her grave is with her husband She did not want his marker changed after her death, So her name is not on the grave stone.)
