Alice Grace Reynolds was born in Alabama on May 7 1857, the youngest of 4 children of Thomas Daniel Reynolds and Sarah Jane Foshee. Her father did not appear on any census from 1860 through 1900, so we assume he died when Alice was quite young. She married James Harvey Hollingsworth on Aug 15 1875 in Johnson Co TX and in 1880 was living in Ellis Co TX with her husband, daughters ages 1 & 3 and her widowed mother.
Alice and Jim moved to Haskell Co TX where they purchased land in 1903 near the Jud Community. They lived there the rest of their lives.

Her obituary from the "Rochester Reporter" reads: AGED LADY OF JUD COMMUNITY ANSWERS DEATH'S SUMMONS
Mrs. Alice Grace Hollingsworth died at her home in the Jud section Tuesday, August 19th. Funeral rites were held at the Rochester Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon, with Minister J. S. Cameron in charge. E. Hob Smith, local funeral director, had charge of the burial service.
Alice Grace Reynolds was born May 7th, 1857, in Alabama, and dying August 19, 1941, made her stay on earth 84 years, three months and twelve days. She was married to James Harvey Hollingsworth in 1874. To this union were born twelve children, five of whom had preceded her in death. Her husband also passed on Nov 18th, 1928.
Grandmother Hollingsworth, as she was affectionately known, professed Christ in early girlhood and united with the Christian Church, and her life has been one of service to the Christ she loved.
She leaves to mourn her passing seven children, as follows: Mrs. Susie Butler, Bee, Earnest and Dee Hollingsworth of Rochester; Edd Hollingsworth of Chillicothe; Bob Hollingsworth of Kosse; and Jesse Hollingsworth of Coleman.
Pall bearers were, Chalmers Harris, Arlo Ivey, John Clemmer, Oscar Hiblin (s/b Hibdon), Thomas Florence and Homer Bittick.
Ladies having the flowers in charge were: Mrs. J. H. Isbell, Mrs. Arlo Ivey, Mrs. Royce Hatch and Miss Virginia Hutchens.
Only a funeral home marker was placed at her gravesite until 1995 when family members had a permanent marker placed (notice error in death year).
