My Grandfather, Pa Lephew...

Husband of:
Vada Mae (Jennings) Lephew

Pa Lephew was a wonderful grandfather. He always had something good to say about everybody. He could always say something to make you smile. I remember him sitting in the yard "whittling," on Sunday afternoons. He loved God, and was a good Christian man. You knew it by the way he lived his life.

Their homeplace was in a little hollow up from Caney Valley Church. Across from the little house, was a stream, I remember playing in that stream, with my cousins on Sunday. We would go to J's Mommies and Pa's for Sunday dinner after church. You talk about some good country cooking! J's Mommy always had enough to feed us. You never went away hungry from their house. We was poor folks, but we were richly blessed with love.
