The passing of MISS FAY FARLEY of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan occurred suddenly on Monday, April 23rd, 2001 at Providence Place at the age of 85 years. Fay was born in Moose Jaw to Walter and Mabel Farley on July 6th, 1915. She lived her entire life in Moose Jaw. Fay attended William Grayson School and Moose Jaw Technical High School. She worked many years at the Moose Jaw Bowling Centre, both on High Street and Caribou Street. Fay retired from the Bowling Center in 1980. She spent many hours crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and according to her nephew, Jeremy, could have been a T.V. quiz show champion. Fay spent endless Christmas Eves on her hands and knees putting together trains, dollhouses and all other toys, making sure they were always ready for Christmas morning. She always enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan. Fay was a wonderful loving sister and aunt and we will miss her dearly. She is survived by her loving sister, Shirley Payne of Moose Jaw, two nephews: Bob (Marilyn) Graham of Mission, B.C., and Lee (Lynn) Payne of Moose Jaw, one niece, Tracie (Bob) Clothier of Rosetown and great-nieces and nephews: Mark (Anne), Dawn (Rob), Jeremy, Kelli, Ross, Jamie, Sarah, Nicolas, Samantha and Brittany. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mabel, one sister, Margaret Graham, niece, Sharon and two brothers-in-law, Archie Graham and Mel Payne. Graveside Services were held on Thursday, April 26th, 2001 in Rosedale Cemetery, conducted by Linda Owens. In living memory of Fay Farley, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley Parkland by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
