Henry Milton Giles, 86, husband of Phoebe Harper Giles, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital.
A U.S. Coast Guard veteran, he retired after 38 years with Reeves Brothers. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was active in The Boy Scouts of America.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Edgar C. Fox and his wife, Nancy, of Greenville; sisters, Ruby Marler Beeco of Greenville, Ruth Shealy Horton of Mauldin, and Grace Baker of Whitmire; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Judy Fox Crater; his former wife, Polly Brown Giles; and a sister, Vera H. Kinnally.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
