On Monday morning, Mrs. Annie E. Carper died at the home of her son Adolph L. Carper at Stover's Station of diseases incident to old age. Mrs. Carper was born in Buffalo Run Valley in 1847 and moved into this vicinity about 1879 and had resided here ever since. Her husband, Adam Carper preceded her to the grave about eight years ago. Surviving her death are these sons and daughters: John, Franklinville; Mrs. Thomas Bronson, and Mrs. C.I. Smith of Waterloo Iowa, Samuel Akron, Ohio; George, Huntingdon Furnace; William, Union Furnace; Philip, Spruce Creek; Miles and Charles, Eden Hill and Adolph L Carper of Stover's Station. Three sisters, Mrs. Martha Evason, State College; Mrs. Rachel Hamer, Warrior's Mark and Mrs. Rose Roan, Buffalo Run Valley, also survive.
Mrs. Carper was a sincere christian woman and a devoted member of the Methodist church. She was a kind, loving mother and had many friends who will miss her and who regret to hear of her death.
Funeral service will be conducted at the home of Adolph L. Carper at Stover's Station, Thursday afternoon at one o'clock conducted by Rev. Edward Kahler, pastor of the Warrior's Mark Methodist church, interment in the Burket Cemetery at Warrior's Mark.
