Joseph E. Elder, 39 years old, a patrolman, died at 4 o'clock this morning at his home, 2040 Frankfort Avenue, of blood poisoning, which developed from injuries he received July 28 in an accident at Preston and Oak streets when he was thrown from the running board of a truck of the Louisville Gas & Electric Company.
