Walter E. Eaton, age 87, of Rogersville, TN, passed away, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Signature Healthcare of Rogersville.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. Mr. Eaton was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Rogersville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Watts Eaton; son, Gary Eaton; parents, Roy and Lelah Cahill Eaton; sisters, Jane Leedom, Betty Senig.

He is survived by his son, Rick Eaton and wife, Dena of Rogersville; brother, Donald Lee Eaton and wife, Lois of Marion, OH; six grandchildren; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service were held at 11:00 a.m., January 29, 2010 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens and Pastor Andy Van Arsdale officiated.
