Ferdinand Fischer

Ferdinand Fischer was born Dec 13, 1859 in Meuckenburg, Germany in the Province of Brandenbrug. He was born in the home of Gottlieb and Amelia Fischer.

On March 29, 1874 he was confirmed in the Evangelical church in Germany.

Mr Fischer came to America on April 24, 1884 and settled at James, Iowa in Plymouth County. He left James, Iowa and moved to a farm in Stanton Twp on March 1, 1891.

Mr Fischer and Louise Meier were united in marriage on Oct. 11, 1888.

In 1891, they joined the Salem Evangelical church under the ministry of Rev Bauerfeind.

Mr Fischer moved to Le Mars, Iowa in Sept 1919. He was a life long resident of Plymouth county.

He is survived by one son, Albert Fischer; one daughter Esther Wetrosky; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also a sister Henrietta Diediker of Chicago.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, one daughter Helena, one son William, and a granddaughter Opal.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 19 at Mauer's Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Rev Homer Maxwill conduct the final rites. Burial will be made in Stanton Twp Evangelical cemetery. Mauer's funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
