Dies at Home Here

Mrs. Caroline B. Crouch, an aged and respected woman of this place, passed away Saturday at the age of 88 years.

The funeral service was held at her home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. I. O. Tedford in charge. Burial was made in the New Cemetery.

Caroline B. Crouch, daughter of Benjamin C. and Belinda C. Foster, was born in York, January 27, 1847, departed this life May 26, 1934, aged 87 years, 3 months and 29 days.

Dec. 6, 1868 the departed was united in marriage to John Boes. To this union was born one child - Pratt Boes, who died March 22, 1873. On March 19, 1873 her husband, John Boes, departed this life.

She was again married to James Anderson Crouch July 4, 1875. To this union were born three children--Bert A. Crouch, Clara Amy Hagean, and Ethel Beatrice Crouch. The two latter having departed this life. On August 3, 1903 she suffered the loss of her husband, James Anderson Crouch.

The fall of 1877 she with her husband and family moved to Hutsonville which place has since been her residence.

At an early age she professed faith in Christ and united with the M.E. church, afterwards changing her membership to the Universalist church of which she was a devoted member.

The departed leaves to mourn their bereavement one son, Bert Crouch, five grandchildren, Milo, James and George Crouch, Amy Cork and Harold Parsell, 9 grandchildren and one aged sister, Laura Chiddix and a large number of nieces and nephews and friends.

Mrs. Crouch was a good woman who enjoyed a large circle of friends. Her journey in life was long but at last the ???ct of life came to her and her loved ones bow in submission to the ways of life and death trustingly consigned her body to mother earth and her spirite to God who give it.
