Albert E. Drumblusky, 87, of Shenandoah Senior Living Community, formerly of 15 N. Union St., Shenandoah, died Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Shenandoah, May 11, 1925, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Drumblusky.
He was employed as a truck driver for the mining industry by Draper Contracting Co., then R&D Coal Co., and lastly for B&D Mining Co., Gilberton.
He was member of St. George Roman Catholic Church.
He was a sergeant in the Army during World War II serving with the 164th Regiment Americal Infantry Division in the Solomon and Phillipine Islands.
He was a member of the former Catholic War Veterans and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Ann Leshko and Lenore Terway.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Particia Gervell; a son, David Drumblusky, Shenandoah; two daughters, Virginia Bloschock and her fiance, Robert Wuttke, Frackville, Roxana Piampi and her husband, Joseph, Ringtown; a sister, Mary Tokarchick, Clermont, Del.; two granddaughters, Kayla and McKenzie; two grandsons, Eric and Zachary; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., 40 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Annunciation BVM Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
