Birth: Dec. 12, 1903
Blackburn
Pawnee County
Oklahoma, USA
Death: Dec. 15, 1987
Fort Collins
Larimer County
Colorado, USA

Child of Pioneer family of Charles and Alice Canfield, Jenice arrived in Fort Collins in early 1900s from the Oklahoma Territory. She was the third child of a family that lived in the Pawnee area of Oklahoma.

She married WWI Navy Veteran, Vernon C Fritz, in 1930. She had no children of her own but loved and cared for numerous neices and nephews. Her stories, paper dolls and crafts were special to them.

Jenice was an artist and painted animals, flowers and some landscapes. She passed on the love of art and how to paint to the young people she was close to.

She was a a loving life partner to her husband. Such a gentle, kind and special woman is dearly missed.
