EDGERTON - James "Jim" Ruosch, age 73, of Edgerton, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Inc., Fitchburg. He was born on April 29, 1933, in Evansville, the son of the late Albert and Daisy Mae (Trunkhill) Ruosch. Jim was united in marriage on Jan. 28, 1956, to Shirley Krueger at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton. He was amember of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton.

Jim worked for the Borden's Milk Company for 20 years, and then at the Edgerton High School as a maintenance person, later becoming head of maintenance for the elementary school for 18 years until his retirement. He also drove school bus for the Burns Bus Company of Edgerton. He was a 1951 graduate of Edgerton High School. Jim loved carpentry work, dancing, hunting, traveling, camping, and going to Branson, Mexico, and California. His trip to Hawaii was his favorite. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jim was a Usher, past Board of Director, the Altar Guild, and a grounds keeper for St John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was in the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps during the Korean War from June 1953 to May 1955. He was a member of the Edgerton V.F.W. Post No. 2708.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley of Edgerton; four daughters, Kathleen (Charlie) Keller of Edgerton, Lisa (Bun) Carley of Edgerton, Michele (Howie Young) Ruosch of Edgerton, and Stacy (Dan) Weger of Winchester, Calif.; three sons, Jim (Linda) Ruosch of Clinton, Scott (Angie) Ruosch of Edgerton, and Mark (Robin) Ruosch of Sharon; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Lester) Knudson of Edgerton, and Betty Bingham of Milton; two brothers, Albert (Bea) Ruosch and Kenneth (Vivian) Ruosch, both of Edgerton; sister-in-law, Jane (John) Thronson of Edgerton; three brother-in-laws, David (Lois) Krueger of Stoughton, James Stolen of Milton, and Gary Miller of Janesville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Doris Berg; brother-in-law, Charles Bingham; and sister-in-laws, Kay Stolen and Linda Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2006, at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with the Rev. Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery.
