Alleged to have been a on the ship "Confidence" out of Southhampton on 24 April 1638. Accompanied by his second wife Margaret (d. 1642), and 3 of the children by his first wife. However, a review of the lists on line has not revealed his name, although some did travel under an assumed name.
There is controvery over the name of his first wife.

In 1638 he settled in Salisbury, Massachusetts, where he received land in the first division and was made a freeman of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1640. He was a weaver by trade.
