William E. Cattron Sr., 80, of Warsaw and formerly of North Manchester, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor.

The Aflax, Ky., native was retired from Manchester Foundry after 25 years of service and was a World War II veteran. Surviving are sons William E. Jr. of North Manchester and Shayne M. of Fort Wayne; daughters Darla Woodward and Angela Purvis, both of Warsaw; a brother, Frank Patterson of Concord, N.C.; sisters Ann Tidwell of Carolina Beach, N.C., Evelyn Coe of Saltville, Va., Madge Rogers of Kannapolis, N.C., and Frances Kanup of Concord, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Monday at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
