HOHMANN, JOSEPH ARTHUR JR., 78, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 at his residence with family at his side.

He was a retired postal clerk at the University of Louisville, where he had 14 years of service, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion Highland Post 201, the Central Cardinal Club and a Flaget Alumni. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph A. Sr. and Anna Peake Hohmann; and a grandson, Joseph Carrie Hohmann.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Klueber Hohmann; a daughter, Theresa Russell (Mark); sons, Richard J. Hohmann (Debbie) and Ronald P. Hohmann (Terri); a sister, Doris McGill; grandchildren, Anna, Doug, Paul and Beth as well as Evan and Tyler Burns. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Leukemia Foundation.
