Myrvan "Ron" Morley, resident of Elko, NV, passed away following a short illness at the Reno Veterans Hospital. He was 86 years old. Ron was born to Montague R. and Sarah Isbill Morley. He had worked as an electronic technician, worked for the Federal Aviation Agency and had been a member of the Laborer's Local No. 169. Ron was a amateur ham radio operator since 1932, a member of the Kiwanis club and a member of the LDS church. He also was a member of the Disabled Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Jeanne) Morley of Elko; son, Ronald Morley of Spring Creek, NV; daughters, Susan Campbell of Spring Creek, Jeanne Trehal of Reno, NV; Kathy Depoali of Sparks, NV, Jane Morley of Reno; brother, Leonard Morley of Salkum, WA; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a grandchild, Alan Campbell of Elko.

Ron was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps 9th Bomb Group. He had participated in the Pacific Theater campaign, serving as Radio Navigator/Gunner on B-17s and B-24s. He received a Purple Heart and several campaign medals. Thank your f...(Read more)
