Oren "O.T." Oren Parker, 67, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away from a four-month battle of lung cancer on Friday, Dec. 20, 1996, at Central Washington Hospital.
He was born Feb. 28, 1929, at Umpire, Ark., to John Lewis Parker and Aldora (Davis) Parker.
On July 10, 1949, he married Donna Jean Jungberg at Okanogan, and they made their home in Wenatchee for 30 years. In 1981, they relocated to Cashmere where they have lived for the past 16 years.
O.T. was an independent long-haul truck driver for 35 years. He later hauled locally here in the state of Washington and retired at the age of 64. He and his wife, Donna, have spent the last three winters, vacationing in Arizona, and have done extensive travel since O.T.'s retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean; four daughters, Linda (Parker) Johnson of Bellevue, Ginger (Parker) Syring of Wenatchee, Kathy (Parker) Hicks of Cashmere, and Lisa (Parker) Ivins of Spokane; one son, David Parker of Cashmere; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Charles Parker of Alexander, Ark.; and one sister, Hattie Ajhara of Kent. He was preceded in death by both parents.
Services are under the direction of Betts Funeral Home.
