The body of Mrs. John Michels, who died at her home at Orleans, Nebr Saturday January 27, 1917 was brought to Fairbury for burial, interment being at Pleasant Hill cemetery, northwest of Fairbury. Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Michels' name before marriage was Annie Wessles. She was born in Germany in 1845 and married in that country to John Michels. They came to this country thirty years ago, settling on a farm near Fairbury. Twenty-two years ago they moved to Orleans.
Mrs. Michels is survived by her husband and 8 children. All the children reside in this area except one son and the youngest daughter, Mrs. Minnie Mintzmeyer, who lives at Orleans. The others are George, John, Martin, Gerhardt, Mrs. Lottie Eisenhauer, Mrs. Mary Junker and Mrs. Annie Seggerman.
