HANNA CITY, IL - Eula Mae Parr, 89, of rural Hanna City, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at her residence of 60 years, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 22, 1923, in Peoria County, Ill. She was the daughter of Beatty and Mary (Bontz) Turbett. She married Donald J. Parr on Dec. 9, 1944, in Boise, Idaho.
He survives, along with two children, Marvin (Paula) Parr of Pekin, Ill., and Crista (Dennis) Dillard of Hanna City, Ill. Eula Mae has six grandchildren, Mary (Micah) Koll, Rachel (Tyler) Fitch, Jordan (Heather) Dillard, Sarah Dillard, Brett and Ashley Parr. She also is survived by three great-grandchildren, Abigail and Anna Fitch and Thomas Koll.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Kenneth Turbett.
Eula Mae worked several years at Caterpillar Inc.
She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church, and played the organ and piano for more than 30 years in those churches. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Peoria and a member of the FTF Sunday School Class at the church.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
