Morse leaves the legacy of a beloved doctor who was his patients' cherished friend. He and Marjorie were a great team in their 63 years of marriage. Their lives were brightened in their mid-70's by the birth of grandsons, Will and Tom, who have been Morse's favorite and enthusiastic guests at Titan's games. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Tennessee Medical Association in the mid-1970's and received that organization's "Distinguished Service Award" in 1976. He was an officer of the Tennessee Public Health Council of the Tennessee Public Health Department. Morse was President and chairman of the board of the Middle Tennessee Heart Association. In the 1970's he served two terms on the Board of Regents of The University of the South at Sewanee and chaired a major capital campaign.
