Songwriter with a tragic twist to his life.

Roger Penzabene worked closely with Norman Whitfield who had taken over Temptation`s production duties from Smokey Robinson. Penzabene tackled the lyrics with Whitfield composing. Around the time of the album " I Wish It Would Rain", Penzabene found out that his wife was unfaithful and did not want to leave her. His songs conveyed great feelings, such as " You`re My Everything, I Wish It Would Rain, I Could Never Love Another ( After Loving You )" and "The End Of Our Road".

On New Years Eve 1967, he tragically ended his own life.
