O. H. (Red) Cole, widely known used car dealer who formerly lived in Booneville, died of a heart attack in Elgin, Illinois, Thursday night at about 10 o'clock, July 26. He was 47 years of age.
Mr. Cole was was making his home at Waukegan, Illinois had gone to Elgin to an automobile auction. He and several other men in his group were stopping at a tourist court where he was found dead at 6:30 a.m. Friday. A physician said Mr. Cole had died of a heart attack several hours before his body was found.
Mr. Cole was formerly in the coal business in Booneville. He also was a technician for Prentiss County Artificial Insemination program.
Funeral services were held at the McMillan Funeral Home last Sunday at 4:00 o'clock by Rev. J. D. Thompson and Dr. Al Collins.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Cole leaves his wife, Mrs. May Louise Arnold Cole, one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Honeycutt of Zion, Ill., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sebe Cole of Booneville, two brothers, Jeffrey Cole of Tupelo, MS, Milton Cole, Booneville; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Lester, Booneville, Mrs. Joe Key of Memphis, Shelby County, TN.
McMillan Funeral Home was in charge and burial was in the Booneville Cemetery.
