Mr. Brannen retired from Tulox Plastics as a machine operator. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, AMVETS Post 5 and was a connoisseur of the Jim Dandy restaurant.
Survivors include daughters, Linda D. (Larry) Haskett and Cheryl A. (Bill) Shook, both of Marion; a son, Steven D. Bennett, Marion; siblings, Tom, Bill, Jim, Robert, Wayne and Jerry Brannen, Dorothy Martin, Mary Lou Stickler, Carol Wyrick and Becky Carter; grandchildren, John Sosh, Jeremy Scott, Kristina Clement, Heather Lewis, Thea Haskett and Sherrie R. Bennett; and a daughter-in-law, Dona Gandee.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Brannen.
