Musician. He was a guitarist and singer, best known for being a founding member of the southern rock band The Outlaws. In 1971, with fellow members Monte Yoho and Hughie Thomasson, the group was formed. By the mid 1970s, the band was a main stream success with hits to include "There Goes Another Love Song" and "Green Grass and High Tides". Jones parted ways with The Outlaws after recording their "Ghost Riders" album in 1981. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
