| Birth: | Oct. 8, 1868 | | Death: | Dec. 14, 1936 | Andrew Alexander Tays and his wife Fannie Crockett Moores Tays were the parents of 12 children: Henry, Wesley, Clyde, Gladys, Doris, Sybil, Mildred, Lila, Virga, Andrew, Leland, and Edith.
Andrew and Fannie built a large two-story home on old Hwy 45 in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi in 1914.
The home was once looked upon as a landmark in the area. In Andrew's will, he left the home to all of the unmarried daughters of the family, Edith, Sybil, and Mildred. After Mildred's death, the home was sold to Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife. Up until the house was sold, it was a very well kept place. After Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife divorced, she and her son continue to live in the home and it is now in disrepair. The entire Tays family is saddened each time they drive by because it leaves a black cloud around their memories.
