|Death: ||May 17, 1920|
Daughter of Gilbert Davison Johnson and Nancy Jane Longwell, sister to Cecelia M., Mary E. William Herbert, Edith Louise and Jane "Jennie".
Married Orlando Van Hise 27 Dec 1868 in Paw Paw, Van Buren, Michigan. Orlando was a Civil War soldier who was promoted to Captain of the 17th US Colored Infantry, Co. I.
After the war they lived in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio and had two daughters Maud and Ethel Mary. Maud was born in Minnesota, so they may have stayed their briefly. By 1890 they may have returned to Michigan, where I suspect Orland died. In 1910 Isadora "Dora" was widowed living with he daughter Ethel Campbell's family in New Trier, Cook, IL.
She died age 72.
