Celia Raines Wolford was a daughter of Albert and Charlotte Raines. She was born near Red Creek, West Virginia. Celia worked mainly as a cook in local lumber camps, but later cooked at Coalton High Shcool and worked as a housekeeper in Coalton. She married Elzia Wolford on February 19, 1923. She had five children: Jessie W. Carr, Doris T. Carr, Hollis L. Wolford, Virgil R Wolford, and Ethel Wolford.
