The funeral services for Mrs. Christiana Izatt were held this afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence, 509 North Roosevelt avenue. Rev. Arthur S. Chapman, of Jacksonville, was in charge of the services. The funeral was largely attended. Mrs. Harry Admire and Mrs. Roy Ramseyer sang several appropriate numbers.
The pallbearers were Jack Hogan, Fred Izatt, J.C. Hassler, C.M. House, Fred Seeger and Frank Strayer. The body was placed in the Park Hill mausoleum.
Mrs. Christiana Izatt was born in Millbridge, Yorkshire, England, on December 27, 1847. When she was in her eighteenth year she came with her parents to America, the family settling in East St. Louis. They came to Bloomington shortly afterwards and have since made this city their home. Mr. Izatt preceded his wife in death 12 years ago this month.
To this union were born four children: Clara, deceased; [James] Edward, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. O.T. Hogan [Beatrice], of Chicago; and Mrs. E.F. Gunzelman [Leota] of this city. She also leaves five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R. and of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
