A beautiful little darling angel was born to the parentage of Ricardo and Vickie Perry Hurd, in Fort Worth, Texas in the year of 1979. Her parents named their little angel Dominique Nicole Hurd.
Dominique experience baptism as a child in the Saint Rita's Catholic Church of Fort Worth. Later in life she united as a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and in 1996 she placed her church membership with the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas under the pastoral leadership of Rev N.L. Robinson, Senior Pastor and under the youth pastoral care of Rev James Thompson.
Nicky as she was affectionately known among her family and close friends grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in the Class of 1997. While at Eastern Hills she was an honor student, a Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleader, All-American Cheeleader, Homecoming Queen, Senior Class Favorite, founder of the new organization(High Steppers), a member of the Science Club, was listed in the Who's Who Honor Receipents and excelled in many other activities and organizations too many to list.
Since graduating from high school Dominique was currently attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she was majoring in Mass Communication and minoring in Biology. Being very high-spirited, Dominique was a member the University's Cheerleading Squad, was elected as "Most Spirited Cheerleader" and also sang with the college's Gospel Choir.
Tragically life came to it's end for Dominique Nicole Hurd in Pine Bluff, Arkansas when she and her boyfriend Peter Robertson were kidnapped and robbed. Nicky died Monday, December 14, 1998 from gunshot injuries.
She leaves precious and undying memories in the hearts and minds of: her father, Ricardo Hurd; her mother and stepfather, Vickie and Derrick Williams; three brothers, Christopher Townsend, DeMarcus Townsend, and Dietrich Williams; two sisters, DeTrece and Demetra Williams; her grandparents, Larry and Lula Dickerson; her guardian parents while in Pine Bluff, Arkansas-Clifton and Karen Blunt; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services were held December 19, 1998 2:00 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, TX.
